During the day on Wednesday, the blue dollar ended a streak of seven straight gains and registered a loss of $20, to sell at $475 in the parallel market. The informal currency had fallen to $467 but after noon it cut the fall.

In the case of Córdoba, the currency in the illegal market was quoted this afternoon at $481 for sale, that is, 19 pesos less than the value of yesterday’s closing.

Financial prices also operate with a strong drop: cash with settlement does so at $451.73 and the Bolsa or MEP to $447.64. The parallel ticket closed on Tuesday at a record of $495, after having touched $497, and that was the opening price of operations this Wednesday.

Given the situation in the exchange market, the Minister of EconomySergio Massa, warned: “We are going to use all the tools of the State to order this situation and in this sense we notified the IMF of the restrictions that weighed on Argentina”.

This Wednesday the upward trend is reversed with the intervention of the monetary authority in the financial parities and the blue falls, so far, $20. For its part, the retail dollar is sold at an average of $228, savings at $374.55, and tourists at $455.29.
