The new Minister of Labor, Kelly Olmos, confirmed this Friday that the Government analyzes payment of a year-end bonus for registered workers in order to curb the impact of inflation.

The official was consulted by the Interior Minister, Eduardo “Wado” De Pedro, who announced yesterday that the Government was “thinking and putting together a proposal” to deliver a fixed sum to workers in a dependency relationship before the end of the year.

However, the official clarified that it would not be a fixed sum, but a year-end bonus. In statements to Futurockthe head of Labor assured that “it is at the negotiating table” and is one of the instruments that they handle as an alternative to paying a fixed sum to mitigate the effects of high inflation.
