The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec) will announce this Thursday the variation registered by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) last June, after a 5.1% rise in May.
According to market analysts consulted by the Central Bank, retail inflation for the sixth month of the year would have been around 5.2%. In addition, financial market agents raised their inflation estimate for the entire year to 79.2%.

These results were the product of the survey carried out by the BCRA between June 27 and 30, before former Economy Minister Martín Guzmán resigned. In it, forecasts from 38 participants were considered, among whom were 26 local and international consultants and research centers and 12 financial entities from Argentina.
The Minister of Economy, Silvina Batakis, avoided making an inflation projection for the current year, stating that “it would be very unprofessional on my part if I were to take the risk today of saying what the inflation projection is in this unprecedented situation of global imbalance “.
In a press conference given last Monday, Batakis stressed that, due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the rise in commodity prices, “we are in a totally different situation than one where one could make inflationary projections “.
