A few months ago, Ted Sarandos, the co-executive director of Netflix, confirmed that they would begin testing a new subscription with advertising for those users who are not willing to pay a premium within the platform. Now, some details have been known, referring to the price and the possibility of it being released on November 1.
With this new plan, Netflix plans not to lose more subscribers and, in turn, gain 40 million subscribers by 2023 thanks to this slightly cheaper subscription and with ads. Of those new users, it is speculated that around 13.3 million will be from the United States.
