The e-commerce giant, Mercado Libre, is the country’s leading platform for digital business. Although it has numerous competitors, now one more is added by the messaging company: WhatsApp.

The CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, announced that from today WhatsApp can be used to pay securely for purchases that were made online. The new update will arrive in India first, to be released globally later.

The new tool will have a new encryption for communications made within the platform that will guarantee security when sending and receiving money.

At the moment it is a new function that is in an experimental phase, but it is believed that it will work very well, which will allow it to be implemented globally in a similar way later.
