The National Electoral Chamber resolved that the presidential debates ahead of the 2023 elections will be held on Sundays, October 1 and 8. The court also announced that “given the possibility of a possible second round,” there will be “a third debate on November 12.”

The Chamber held a meeting today with the political parties of national order to a hearing, within the framework of the Consultative Council of Political Parties created in 2007.

The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Tribunal and was attended by the party representatives. The Chamber “reported on the different technologies to be used, as is the case of the Biometrics pilot tests and border control.”

From today’s meeting it emerged that the provisional register will close on April 25. According to the electoral calendar, the PASO will take place on August 13, the first presidential round on October 22 and, eventually, the second round will take place on November 19.
