The Tren de las Sierras once again starred in a new road accident this Monday at sunset. A VW Surán vehicle, driven by a 32-year-old woman, was hit by the train on Julio Atún street in the mountain town of San Roque.
The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. “An emergency service was present at the scene and diagnosed the driver of the minor vehicle with polytrauma,” the police reported.
Last Tuesday, a similar incident occurred in the commune. The Tren de las Sierras dragged a Renault 21 with its driver inside along the edge of the rails. The impact destroyed the left side of the car and fortunately the driver was uninjured.
