One year after the Circunvalación tragedy, Alan Amoedo will go to trial as the only person accused of causing the death of Sol Vignolo and Agustín Burgos, in addition to causing serious injuries to Fernanda Guardia. This Tuesday the 17th the hearings will begin. Amoedo is accused of “wrongful death and very serious injuries” for having hit the victims who were on the side of the road waiting for mechanical assistance. He was driving drunk and drugged.

It should be remembered that the relatives of the victims and the lawsuit seek to have the case treated as a road crime, because the defendant was knowingly driving dangerously. For this reason, they will seek to demonstrate these facts and that the cover be changed to “homicide with eventual intent”, which would aggravate the penalties against Amoedo.

According to what was reported by the court, made up of judges Roberto Cornejo, Gustavo Rodríguez Fernández and Martín Bertone, there will be three other hearings scheduled for Thursday, May 19, Friday, May 20, and Monday, May 23, and between twelve and fifteen witnesses will testify. .

The accusation will be headed by the prosecutor Gustavo Arocena, while the defense is headed by the lawyer Zonzini Astudillo, while the lawsuit will be headed by Claudio Orosz and Martín Fresneda.
