The resignation of Rodrigo De Loredo to his candidacy as governor of Córdoba keep on talking. Despite belonging to the Radical Civic Union, this political space criticized the decision of the current national deputy by stating that he did not communicate with the intern to make the decision to nominate Luis Juez for the governorship of the province.
Myrian Prunotto, mayor of Estación Juárez Celman and leader of the Metropolitan Entity, pointed out that “We do not accept De Loredo’s candidacy in this context of self-proclamation. We want the participation of all members and militants of the Radical Civic Union for decision-making”. Given this, he warned that if necessary they will take the judicial path “to participate in the internships of Together for Change”.

The official pointed out that “The Radical House has been closed to us and all the militants for a long time. It is our desire to govern the province of Córdoba,” that’s why “We came out to play hard.” In addition, Prunotto said that the way to announce the candidacies of Judge and De Loredo “It is not the democratic way to do it within our party. This shows that his resignation does not have the vocation of being able to govern the province”.
Without clarifying whether or not she is going to be a candidate for the UCR, Prunotto pointed out that the candidates “They are going to leave the assembly. We do not want personalities and names and surnames. I don’t know if radicalism is broken by this, but our supreme goal is to recover radicalism. We want to give leadership to the party”he said, and accused that currently “There are four families that run the party”.
On the other hand, Prunotto referred to the possibility of eventually joining Hacemos por Córdoba and playing close to the current ruling party: “We are talking to all spaces. Today the Argentines ask for dialogue and consensus between the political parties”.

The UCR issued an official statement where they determine all the points they raise for the 2023 elections:
“For a radical gubernatorial candidate“
“The Authentic Radicalism of Córdoba was born on March 9 of this year, from the raised arms of an authentic Popular Assembly that, with more than 7,000 militants and leaders, has launched this formidable construction, no less than in the halls of the Dining room of the National University of Córdoba, perhaps the most emblematic setting for these demonstrations in Córdoba.
We were born as an expression of rebellion against the exclusive paralysis that the formal leadership of the UCR has imposed on the Radicals of Córdoba for too many years.
We set out with the mission of raising the abandoned flags and summoning, with the greatest amplitude, all the expressions of our party that refuse to validate the decision not to present a candidate and their own project, to govern the Province of Córdoba by fulfilling 132 years.
We organize ourselves horizontally based on a growing demand from the radical people, who have expressed, with such a formidable presence, their determination to make their voices heard.
We set out to represent the demands of so many men and women, who have seen their rights to comment and participate curtailed, in order to bring them closer to the possibility of doing so, in order to contribute to the development and growth of our province.
Because we hope that this call is not limited only to those who express their condition as radicals.
And we do so in the conviction that it is imperative that political parties stop locking themselves away from the people, to settle their pettiness and personal ambitions.
It is essential to put an end to this self-destructive practice that creates the conditions for the deviations and delusions of some leaders, who end up feeling part of an aristocracy with privileges and without obligations.
We are convinced of the need to redignify democratic political practice, as the only legitimate activity to build a harmonious and sustainable social coexistence. It is clear to us that it is urgent to modernize the system of citizen participation, in the diagnosis and consequent political project, in order to overcome the difficulties and anxieties that our people face. Our democracy, in these times plagued with tremendous challenges, needs a density of citizen participation that far exceeds what political parties can provide.
Organically and functionally strengthening the Parties and from our perspective, convictions and principles, particularly the Radicalism of Córdoba, is the mission that we have imposed on ourselves.
Opening the doors of the UCR generously so that all Cordovans of good will enter, to put their intelligence and energy at the service of the people is the obligation we assume.
Governing Córdoba with these imperatives is the challenge we are willing to take on!”
