The United States ambassador to Argentina, Mark Stanley, visited Córdoba and had a fun moment drinking a fernet, the classic drink from Córdoba, for the first time in his life.
It was even the same American diplomat who published on his social networks the video of his experience when trying the classic Cordovan. “Fernet with coke? I love it!” he pointed out. And he drank one more drink.
Stanley was very happy to be in the province, even days before he had written in a tweet: “How good to finally be able to travel to the land of the quartet and the fernet, what else can’t I miss on this visit? #ambassadorenroute”.
Stanley also took advantage of his time in the city and visited the National University of Córdoba, “I was extremely impressed with my visit to @unc_cordoba, the oldest in Argentina, free, open and diverse. Hundreds of its students and researchers have participated in programs exchange in the US, and I hope there are many more to come!” he wrote in a Twitter post alongside several photos.

This is his first trip to the interior of the country since he was appointed head of the United States diplomatic mission in Argentina. His agenda included meetings with government authorities, representatives of business organizations, academic leaders and other members of civil society.
