Juan Tobares, 18, was traveling as a passenger on the motorcycle during the accident. He was in serious condition at the Emergency Hospital, with trauma to the skull, chest and abdomen. He also had suffered a femur fracture and had to receive respiratory assistance.
The driver of the motorcycle, Tobares’ cousin, Brian Pérez, told El Doce that they were wearing helmets at the time of the incident. “I choose to believe that it was an unfortunate event, because it was just a fluke that we passed by and when I saw it, I was very close and I couldn’t dodge it,” he said.
As a result of the impressive impact, the taxi crashed into the fence of a bridge and was left hanging.
