Government, trade unionists and businessmen will negotiate from Monday at 3:00 p.m. the updating of the Minimum, Vital and Mobile Salary (SMVM) and unemployment benefits.
While inflation continues to rise, representatives of the CGT, CTA and the Autonomous CTA have not yet determined the position they will present at the tripartite meeting.
Before the plenary, from 2:00 p.m., two representatives from each sector of the Technical Commission of the National Council for Employment, Productivity and the Minimum, Vital and Mobile Salary will face each other. Then, an hour later, the plenary session of 32 members will start -16 from the union centrals and 16 from the businessmen-. Both meetings will be held through the videoconference format.
In that meeting, they must define the new salary floor and its sections, and the amount of unemployment benefits. Union sources accepted that the $111,000 that the Indec registered as the poverty line will not be covered.
On March 16, this Council had set an increase of 45% in four sections of the SMVM, which as of this month reaches $47,850, almost $2,000 below the indigence line (only determines food for a typical family).
