The government of Buenos Aires approved and authorized the program “Sow Culture”, which will take place until December 31, 2023 in CABA. it provides Support lines for independent theaters, cultural centers and community spaces.
The presentation was made based on resolution 1736 of the Undersecretary of Creative Industries and Cultural Innovationpublished today in the Official Gazette of the district, where the budget allocation was authorized to meet the expenses demanded by the program.
“sow culture” is part of the “Plan to Strengthen Community Culture”. Its main objective is to cooperate in the operation of Independent Theater Halls, Cultural Centers and Community Cultural Spaces within the territory of the province of Buenos Aires. It proposes two lines of support to which the spaces will be able to access in order to improve their safety and hygiene conditions or strengthen their technical equipment.
It was clarified that cultural spaces should integrate the Registration of Cultural Spaces to be able to register and they will not be able to opt for more than one line of economic support simultaneously. In addition, advice will be provided for the constitution of legal entities, cultural cooperatives and safety and hygiene regulations, and coordination with different institutions is planned in order to facilitate administrative procedures “to collaborate in the formalization of the cultural activity of the spaces”.
It was indicated that “the final execution of the activities included in the program requires artistic, training, technical and general production contracts, organization actions and logistical deployment, catalog printing, brochures and posters, audiovisual registration, travel expenses, among other items of goods and services necessary for its realization, production and promotion”.
