The national government announced this afternoon the extension for the registration of the “Registered” Program, which is promoted by the Ministry of Women, Gender and Diversity. In this way, interested people will have time until December 31, 2022 to sign up.
The program consists of the State subsidizing the sector of workers in private homes, thus granting a benefit to employers. In this way, the national government is responsible for paying between 30% and 50% of the salary of the employees for six months, reaching a subsidy amount of $22,258.
WHICH ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
The requirements are as follows:
- Employees must work in private homes at least 6 hours per week or more in the same home.
- Their tasks must be framed within the categories “Personnel for specific tasks”, “Land and housekeepers”, “Assistance and care of people” or “Personnel for general tasks”.
- The employing party must register the new employment relationship.
- They must also have median monthly gross income equal to or less than $225,937.
HOW IS IT CHARGED?
Once enrollment in the program is approved, the beneficiary will be opened a free bank account at Banco Nación, from the government. There, the domestic workers will receive monthly the part of the salary that the State covers with the program. Even so, it is vitally important to remember that employers will be in charge of registering the workers, establishing an ART to cover work-related accidents and, of course, taking care of the percentage of remaining salary.
