An unusual accident took place yesterday in a town in the interior of the province, when a car went off a cliff and fell into a lake. The vehicle, driven by two minors, was completely submerged in Lake Piedras Moras de Almafuerte.
The Volunteer Firefighters attended the situation starring the driver and her companion, aged 14 and 16, who were unharmed. The shallowness of the lake allowed the girls to get out on their own.
Although so far there are no details of what happened, a careless driving caused the car to reverse and end up sinking into the water mirror.
According to local Volunteer Firefighters, the vehicle was completely submerged in the lake. The teenagers were rescued with a nervous breakdown and fortunately, they were not injured.
