The Ministry of Health of the Nation confirmed that there is a sustained rise in cases of influenza A, with figures that were not seen since the 2016 records. They reported 845,523 positive cases in recent days. They assure that in some guards of the country there are already delays.
Although the years 2020 and 2021 were affected by the pandemic for numerical grouped notification, an increase was also observed compared to 2018 and 2019 for the same period (September).
According to the report, this is 33% more positivity for influenza and was detected in all age groups, with the highest number of positive samples between 25 and 34 years and 45 and 64 years.
The national health portfolio stressed that so far in 2022 there is an unusual behavior in seasonality and the number of registered cases.
