The Minister of Economy, Sergio Massaconsidered that this Friday will be a day “ historical“since the final stage of the construction of the Néstor Kirchner gas pipeline. The infrastructure mega-project, which will allow save about $2 billion a year in energy imports, it will end once the more than 50,000 remaining pipes are welded.
The last welding will take place on Friday at 2:00 p.m., at kilometer 232 of the gas pipeline trace at the height of the province of La Pampa, at the point of union of sections 1 and 2, of the three into which it was divided and the work was awarded.
The event will be broadcast via streaming this Friday at 2:00 p.m. The president of the Energía Argentina company, Agustín Gerez, will be there. In turn, from Buenos Aires, the virtual presence of Sergio Massa and the Secretary of Energy, Flavia Royón, are expected.
The long-awaited infrastructure work will start on June 20, according to the Government. During this month, the necessary hydraulic tests will be carried out to register any type of failure in all its sections.
