This Saturday, March 11, the 28th edition of the traditional Brocheriana Pilgrimage and Cavalcade began. The beginning of this icon of Cordovan religious tourism began in the Cordoba town of Villa Carlos Paz and will conclude next Wednesday the 15th of this month in Villa Cura Brochero. The mission is to cross the Sierras Grandes on foot or on horseback, according to the choice of each pilgrim.

The journalist Rubén Álvarez spoke with Ivana Gallardo, President of the Organizing Commission of the Parade, who detailed some aspects of the event. There are 550 participants, including walkers and horseback riders, and they cover approximately 30 km per day, with hydration and recreation posts, in addition to daily mass.

For his part, Carlos Oviedo, mayor of Villa Cura Brochero, affirmed that he will accompany the promisers on their way and that he will receive them on Wednesday in the former city of Santo Cura.

On the other hand, the mayor of Villa Carlos Paz, Daniel Gómez Gesteira, and Esteban Avilés, President of the Córdoba Tourism Agency, recognized the importance of this traditional pilgrimage and the positioning of Córdoba in the world thanks to the recognition of the sanctity of the Gaucho priest. .
