Rodríguez Larreta confirmed that Jorge Macri will be the only PRO candidate in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA), ending the internal dispute with Patricia Bullrich in a crucial district for Together for Change. The head of the Buenos Aires government announced that the current Minister of Government and cousin of the former president, Mauricio Macri, will be the representative of the PRO for the elections to the Head of Government of the City.

This election is an important step to end the internal dispute between Rodríguez Larreta and Patricia Bullrich in the presidential race and was taken to “guarantee the continuity of the changes made in the City and face the challenges that still remain to be achieved.” Along this line, it was also agreed to carry out an internship in the province of Buenos Aires, the main district of the country. In that contest, Diego Santilli, supported by Rodríguez Larreta, and Néstor Grindetti, supported by Bullrich, will compete for the candidacy.

The Buenos Aires president sought to install other candidates to succeed him in the City, including the Minister of Health, Fernán Quirós. However, he agreed to conduct polls to define the candidate. After analyzing the results of several studies, Rodríguez Larreta decided to support Jorge Macri due to his “solid support and management capacity”.
