It is a reality that over the years there is greater hair loss and slower growth, more frizz and dryness. Adding to the passage of time is the application of dyes and the use of styling tools, which increase the chances that naturally shiny hair will become porous and therefore lose its shine. This is because the protective barrier is weakening.

Before reaching a broken mane or split ends, the hair appears dry and dehydration is the previous step that warns that it must be cut. To remedy this, it is advisable to use care products that restore the hair and prevent external moisture from penetrating the fibers.

WHAT ARE THE TRICKS TO TAKE CARE OF IT?

1- WASH IT GENTLY

If the washing technique is not adequate, the fibers can be damaged, so it is convenient to comb it beforehand to avoid tangling. Then, all the hair should be wet very well, passing the hands behind so that all the fibers are soaked. Apply the shampoo in the hand and rub with both palms to massage the scalp, from the forehead to the nape of the neck, with the fingertips without scratching or hitting the nails. When the hair is wet, avoid making quick or sudden movements, rinsing with lukewarm water and using your fingers to remove any residue that may remain on the scalp. These remains that are not removed are the main responsible for looking dull and dull hair. The mane can be washed whenever it is needed, even daily. In principle, it is only necessary to lather once, but if we carry products such as sprays, wax or gels, it is advisable to apply the shampoo twice to remove any traces of the product.

2- AVOID STYLING TOOLS

When using a dryer, irons or any external heat source, a thermal protector must be previously applied, which helps to seal the cuticle.

3- MOISTURIZE FREQUENTLY

In addition to using masks, you can apply coconut oil from the middle to the ends before washing it to protect the cuticle from the detergents that shampoos contain. The ends, in addition to being the oldest part of the hair, lose the protection of the sebaceous glands that are present in the scalp and that naturally produce hydration at the root.

4- HEAL THE HAIR

Cut the ends regularly, since when they are open, the nearby hairs are damaged by friction.

5- USE APPROPRIATE PRODUCTS

Products suitable for each type of hair should be used, especially when washing. It is advisable to use shampoos with moisturizing active ingredients that prevent porosity and add shine to the hair.
