The Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, will announce today a series of measures to promote production in the dairy sector. The official will star in an act planned in a rural establishment in the city of Villa María, Córdoba.

Among the main announcements there will be a package of benefits, which includes an economic incentive for the dairy sector for a period of three to four months, together with the implementation of non-refundable contributions.

The sources reported that measures are also being prepared for those sectors such as poultry, egg and pig production and for those who fatten the pen, affected by the drought that has been worsening in much of the country.

In this way, a kind of compensation would be allocated for the increase in the cost of production for that period, as long as it has not been transferred to the price.

On the other hand, the official together with the Secretary of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Juan José Bahillo and the mayor of the town Martín Gill, will tour local institutions and establishments related to dairy production such as the Mercado Abasto facilities during the morning.
