The last edition of the marathon that was held in the city of Barcelona mobilized a great amount of feelings in the spectators and in the athletes themselves who ran this race. The main reason was due to the incredible performance of Alex Roca Campillo, a 32-year-old who has a disability that affects 76% of his motor skills.
Despite his great limitation, the athlete managed to complete the 42,195 meters and cross the finish line. “I HAVE MADE HISTORY! First person in the WORLD with a 76% disability who has managed to finish a MARATHON: 42, 195 km. This has been possible thanks to ALL my team. Thanks to ALL of you who have been cheering, I HAVE NO WORDS …”Alex expressed on his social networks along with a video of him crossing the finish line.

The video garnered more than 131,000 “likes” and has more than 4.9 million views. In addition, the athlete received thousands of comments from various celebrities and athletes, even from the official account of Club Atlético de Madrid they left a message for Alex saying: “Congratulations! You are an example of improvement!”
