WhatsApp confirmed the arrival of voice states on its platform, a function that will allow users to record and share voice messages of up to 30 seconds in length. To create a voice status you must click on the microphone icon that will appear on the status screen, record the audio and it is ready to be shared.

In addition to voice statuses, WhatsApp has also introduced a feature called “Private Audience Selector”, with which you can choose which contacts can see your status updates. Once this option is selected it will be saved as default until you change it manually.
