The Ducati firm will have a motorcycle assembly line in Córdoba and it will be the first outside of Italy. This announcement was made by Volkswagen Group Argentina, which will be in charge of manufacturing the Italian brand’s motorcycles at its plant in the capital of Cordoba.
It is worth mentioning that this project includes an investment of 250 million dollars in Argentina by the automotive company.
As announced by Volkswagen Group Argentina, the Ducati motorcycles will arrive in the province in CKD (disassembled parts to be assembled).
The approved plan contemplates that in September 2022 they would begin to assemble 3 daily Scrambler model motorcycles of the Ducati brand. That would be the first stage. Later in 2023 they would add two new models and the amount would scale to 5 units per day. That production would be to supply the domestic market and the strategy behind this decision would be to obtain a quota to import more cars and components.
Ducati announces the start of its industrial development in the country. It will be the first VW Group subsidiary in the world to industrially integrate the Italian brand. The operation will start at CIC 2022 with the Ducati Scrambler Icon model.#ducatiargentina #ducatiscrambler pic.twitter.com/3f8T6AmW4q
