This morning, in the vicinity of Av. Costanera and Coronel Olmedo, the rupture of an interconnecting pipe of 80 centimeters in diameter produced a large spill of water on the asphalt.

Cristina Barrientos, spokeswoman for Aguas Cordobesas, explained to Radio Universidad that although the service is expected to function normally, there could be problems with the water pressure levels in the Providencia neighborhood.

And he added: “We are seeing to be able to supply the neighborhood from another conduit in the area, and we are working on the repair.”

The reasons that led to the spillage of the connecting pipe are unknown. Barrientos said the connection was likely affected due to other repairs in the area combined with low temperatures.
