WhatsApp seeks to put an end to those apps that are offered as a replacement or improvement of the original platform and that also offer other functions and tools that make it look more attractive. For this reason, the messaging giant announced that it will close the accounts that work through other applications.

As reported by Meta, those who do not comply with the regulations will be permanently expelled from the platform. And it recommends that for this not to happen, you should stop using and delete or uninstall applications that violate their policies from all your devices.

The apps in question, WhatsApp Plus and GB WhatsApp, both have more than a million downloads in official stores or as APKs. WhatsApp reported that being developed by third parties, they modify settings of the Android operating system and put the security of user data and information at risk, because they do not provide the privacy of end-to-end encryption.
