Since April, the National Disability Agency called for participation in the “Federal Consultation towards a New Disability Law”, which will take place between March 21 and May 31, inclusive, “for all those interested in providing contributions that nurture the debate towards the project that replaces Law 22,431” In these public hearings, each participant chooses a topic on which to give their opinion. The topics are: education – work – health – social protection – political participation – accessibility autonomous and independent life – another topic.
In Córdoba, the hearings will be held on May 5 and 6, at the fairgrounds of the city’s Convention Center. Fernando Galarraga, Executive Director of the National Agency for Disability, welcomed this initiative to collect contributions from all sectors of society to achieve a law that includes everyone.
To participate in public hearings you must register and registration closes 48 hours before the date of each hearing. To do so, it is necessary to go to https://www.argentina.gob.ar/andis/nueva-ley. Without previous annotation it is not possible to participate. During the public hearing, each person has a maximum of five minutes to give their opinion on the chosen topic.
