As every year, World Intellectual Property Day is celebrated on April 26, a date chosen by the Member States of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in 2000, among which Spain has been since its inception, in commemoration of the entry into force of the WIPO Convention.
This annual celebration allows us to highlight the value that intellectual property rights bring to our progress as human beings and as a society, focusing this year on innovation and youth, as stated in the motto of World Intellectual Property Day 2022: Intellectual and industrial property and young people: innovate for a better future.
As it could not be otherwise, the Ministry of Culture and Sports, competent in the defense and protection of intellectual property rights, is actively involved in this activity. Specifically, on April 26, 2 events will be held around the aforementioned motto:
- Firstly, in the morning there will be an event in the Valle Inclán Hall of the Círculo de Bellas Artes (c/ Alcalá 42, Madrid). Click here to follow the event live Check the complete program here

Both events will be in a face-to-face hybrid format, with free admission until full capacity is reached.
