As every April 6, the International Day of Physical Activity is celebrated, instituted by the World Health Organization to promote “all the movements that are part of daily life, including work, recreation, exercise and activities. sports”.

On the 20th anniversary of this date being instituted, the promotional actions will be centered on the motto “Movete to live”.

It should be noted that during 2020 and 2021 the population has experienced an unprecedented situation where the opportunities to carry out physical activity have been limited, since due to the appearance of COVID-19, restrictive health measures were implemented throughout the Argentine territory, which has caused the population to become more sedentary and insufficiently active.

In order to reverse this situation, the Ministry of Health proposes for this date to arouse the interest of children, adolescents and adults in physical activity, as well as improving the quality of life.
