From this Tuesday, June 28, and until July 4, the Municipality of Córdoba begins voting for the “Jerónimo de la Gente 2022” distinction, the initiative through which citizens validate and strengthen the commitment and action of the entities and institutions of Cordoba with the desire to transform the city, and that are outstanding for their work, social service and solidarity towards the community.
As is traditionally done, different people will be distinguished for their commitment to causes, problems and organizations, promoting, disseminating and recognizing each of the participating causes, regardless of who is elected.
It should be noted that since 2020 and, by order of Mayor Martín Llaryora, this vote has a commission that proposes the nominees to the municipal executive.
The applicants selected for this edition are the Civil Association “Glass of milk”, which helps more than 150 children with food, access to new cultures, learning and constant school support; the Artisan Fair Paseo de las Artes, that contributes to keeping our customs, traditions and values alive, also promoting the city brand and the growth of our local economy; the House of Kindness, which allows people with terminal illnesses to live their last days accompanied, with an improvement in their quality of life and to say goodbye in peace and with dignity; Y the “Documentary: The cry of Suquía”, by Andrés Dunayevicha piece of great socio-environmental impact for the people of Cordoba, seeking to generate citizen awareness about caring for the river.
