The president of YPF, Pablo González, highlighted that the company closed 2022 “with an investment of US$ 4.1 billion and a total production growth of 9%, the highest in the last 25 years.” The statements were made at a meeting between representatives of the Argentine hydrocarbons sector and German Foreign Minister Olaf Scholtz, who is visiting the country.
González affirmed that YPF’s production growth in 2022 was the highest in the last 25 years and said that “by 2023 the company’s investments would exceed 5 billion dollars, which will allow it to continue with this growth agenda.”
During the meeting they analyzed the potential that Argentina has as a global energy producer from the resources it has in Vaca Muerta and the possibility of exporting it as LNG, and discussed renewable energy and lithium in Argentina.
“YPF is a leader in the production of renewable energy and more than 25% of the energy it consumes is generated from this type of source,” the company highlighted.
