The president of the nation, Alberto Fernández, visited the vice president’s apartment located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Recoleta minutes before 2:00 p.m. The head of state personally saw Cristina Kirchner after her attack on Thursday night, when a subject from 35 years old tried to shoot him in the head but fortunately the shot did not come out.

The president was present at the house of the former president at the same time that ministers, mayors, social organizations, human rights organizations and militants were mobilized to Plaza de Mayo in repudiation of the attack.

Alberto had previously communicated with the former president minutes before recording the message that was broadcast on the national network, in which he referred to the attack and which he described as the “most serious event since we have recovered our democracy.”

Around 4:00 p.m., the president will meet with different social actors who were summoned to a dialogue table that will take place at Casa Rosada. Human rights organizations, religious authorities, members of the CGT, the CTA and businessmen will be present. Fernández excluded the political parties from the meeting.
