The President of the Mediterranean Foundation, María Pía Astori, and the head of the Institute for Studies on the Argentine and Latin American Reality (IERAL), Carlos Melconian, met today in Resistencia with the Governor of Chaco, Jorge Capitanich. They did it
accompanied by the Director of the Institute, Facundo Martínez Maino; Sebastián Bagó, head of the Buenos Aires regional office; and Andrés Scorza, member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors.

This was the tenth meeting that the Fundación Mediterránea team has had with governors from all over the country, in addition to previous meetings with mayors, Supreme Court judges and legislators, regardless of the political views of their
interlocutors.

During the meeting, coincidences were found on the need to work together between the Nation and the provinces with the aim of achieving a general macroeconomic balance at the country level, with stability and sustained growth.

From the Government of Chaco they highlighted that issues related to Argentina’s insertion in the world were discussed, promoting exchange rules that help the country’s competitiveness. Finally, an analysis was carried out on the fiscal behavior at the provincial level, the
national economic scenario, and the energy, logistics and infrastructure panorama. From the Mediterranean Foundation and IERAL we thank Governor Capitanich and the Government of Chaco for the fruitful exchange of ideas and we remain available to continue working together on the challenges that our country presents us.
